Pick your passions

Three years before retiring, social worker Evy Solomon began dipping her toes into the water at the Cummings Centre taking classes in stained glass and tole painting. “I had always enjoyed crafting and wanted to properly prepare for my retirement and begin my association with Cummings,” says Evy. ”By the time I was fully retired, I had found my second home at the Centre.”

Bridge, Canasta and Hebrew lessons offered

Evy has hit the ground running adding Bridge, Canasta and Hebrew lessons to her roster. “There are so many things I want to learn from the gifted group of teachers, staff and volunteers at the Centre,” says Evy. “I tell everyone that any and all of your interests and passions can be fulfilled at the Cummings Centre.”
Molly benefits from the meaningful relationships she builds in her role. “Working weekly with the same people allows me to gain their trust,” says Molly. ”We have the opportunity to exchange stories and form friendships.”
