MIXED MEDIA WORKSHOP: COLLAGES WITH PHOTOS MIXED MEDIA / STREET ART. Focusing on 'The Family Portrait' students will provide photos and items from their memoirs to assemble a beautiful and unique tale-tellingwork of art. We will begin discussing the history of the Mixed Media, current artists on the scene, local and internationally and all the wonderful techniques and tricks of the trade. We will use photo transfers, gold leaf application, techniques with gels and mediums and much more.
Janie Reisler is a Graphic and Fashion Designer working in Montreal. She holds a B.A Honours degree in Art History from McGill University as well as a DEC in Graphic Design from Dawson College. She currently teaches at The Montreal Art Centre in Griffintown, The Ottawa School of Art, and instructs private workshops for working artists in Montreal and Toronto. She has taught at the former Saidye Bronfman Center, The Cummings Center and the Visual Arts Center of Montreal. Today as a Trend and Creative Consultant in various categories, she brings her expertise and creativity back into Montreal’s thriving Art Community. Her former students have gone on to become world class exhibiting artists, Set and Stage designers and more. Her newest courses in globally trending, MIXED MEDIA are inspiring and refreshing, especially geared for the non-artist and artist alike.
