Boxing Interval Fitness for Parkinson’s

DESCRIPTION
Exercise your cardio, coordination & strength with a series of 3 minute "rounds" of brain building boxing sequences, and lower body strengthening exercises. All that you need is some space, a water bottle and a chair. If standing for too long is an issue, you can also choose to do all the exercises seated. Boxing gloves are not required!

*This exercise program is intended for a general audience and may not be suitable for everyone. At any time, if you feel discomfort, pain, dizziness, or your heart is beating abnormally, stop exercising immediately and consult a health care professional if necessary.

INSTRUCTOR
ANNE NEWMAN
Anne has been an integral part of the Adapted Exercise Clinic since 2010. Beyond her Kinesiology background, she has worked as a research coordinator at the MUHC Lymphedema clinic. As well, she has been a dedicated volunteer at AMI-QUEBEC (ACTION ON MENTAL ILLNESS) since 2006, serving as a support group facilitator and member of the Board of Directors. This experience has contributed largely to her special interest in the benefits of physical activity for folks with mobility disorders and for people with mental illness.
