DESCRIPTION
Everyone needs a helping hand when adjusting to life with a long-term condition. At Cummings Centre, people facing similar challenges come together in a safe environment to learn, to talk about personal experiences, and to enhance their ability to cope with the daily challenges of Parkinson’s. The Parkinson’s Support Group is a monthly group meeting and is offered in conjunction with Parkinson’s Canada.

The dates are : Sept. 15/ Oct. 6/ Oct. 27/ Nov. 17/ Dec. 8

INSTRUCTOR
ANNE NEWMAN
Anne has been an integral part of the Adapted Exercise Clinic since 2010. Beyond her Kinesiology background, she has worked as a research coordinator at the MUHC Lymphedema clinic. As well, she has been a dedicated volunteer at AMI-QUEBEC (ACTION ON MENTAL ILLNESS) since 2006, serving as a support group facilitator and member of the Board of Directors. This experience has contributed largely to her special interest in the benefits of physical activity for folks with mobility disorders and for people with mental illness.
