DESCRIPTION
Learn about the basic principles of acrylic paint from the ground up. Discover how to manipulate the medium by playing with its qualities through the scope of contemporary and classical art. Students will learn about brushes, medium gels, canvas priming, color theory and understanding acrylic paint label specifics. This course is for beginners as well as intermediate painters who want to review the basics of acrylic paints.
INSTRUCTOR
FELIPE RESTREPO
Felipe Restrepo is a multi-disciplinary artist that enjoys bending the materiality of artistic mediums to create artworks. With well over 10 years of experience in the field, he has specialized in the use of the classic mediums, such as oil/acrylic paint, watercolor and colored crayons. His practice is vast and polyvalent. Felipe's artistic persona has a tendency of merging abstraction with representation and vice versa, flowing between styles and subjects with ease. His goals as a teacher are to develop an enduring connection with the community as well as developing his pedagogic skills as a community teacher.
