Thu (12 Sessions) Jan 12 - Mar 30 | 9:30 AM - 10:15 AM
Join Julie Nadler for Yoga Nidra meditation. This style of meditation retrains the nervous system to relax and calms down the body and mind. It is easy to do, and it is a practice that can be done by everyone regardless of age, or physical ability. All that is required is to sit or lie down and listen. It is a deep relaxation that brings us to a place of rest, quiet and clarity.

You will also learn deep breathing techniques, and there will be time for questions and discussions at the end of the class.

*This exercise program is intended for a general audience and may not be suitable for everyone. At any time, if you feel discomfort, pain, dizziness, or your heart is beating abnormally, stop exercising immediately and consult a health care professional if necessary.
On the first leg of my journey, I was a runner, a karate black belt and a high school English teacher. When I retired, yoga found me. As a yoga teacher I draw on my training in Yin yoga (Angela Reid), Principle-Based Partner yoga (Elysabeth Williamson), Yoga Nidra training (Jennifer Reis at Kripalu) and 35 years of classroom teaching.

With my husband/partner, Malcolm, I have managed Yoga on the Park Studio since April 2016. When the pandemic hit, we quickly re-grouped and moved online with Zoom.

Whether practicing or teaching, yoga is a thread that runs through all of my days. The asana practice has made me stronger, more flexible, and more balanced.; meditation has given me greater inner peace and a greater willingness to accept what is. This physical and spiritual well-being is what I share with my students. Aside from our commonalities, we all have our own strengths, our own challenges, and our own special needs. It is these differences that I most wish to respect and address as a teacher. Yoga for everybody and every body; yoga for all seasons.
