INSTRUCTOR

KATY HARRIS MCLEOD
After decades of practicing yoga, Katy recently became a certified yoga teacher through the training program at Luna Yoga Studio in Montreal, where she is currently a member of the teaching staff. Katy comes from a background in contemporary dance and has worked as a dancer, choreographer, dance teacher, and producer. Between 2012 and 2017 she had the pleasure of working at the Cummings Centre where she led the dance portion of the Broadway classes which focused on movement and music for people with Parkinson's. Katy’s approach to yoga teaching is also influenced by her career as a teacher of English as a second language, resulting in classes where the instructions and movement sequences are easy to follow. Katy hopes to share her love for yoga in a way that is accessible and inspires others to connect with their breath, find new pathways of movement in their bodies, and experience moments of deep relaxation.
