DANNY BEN-MOSHE
Award-winning producer and director Danny Ben-Moshe is one of world’s foremost filmmakers of Jewish documentaries. His acclaimed films have screened on leading networks around the world, including the BBC, PBS, ABC, and YES in Israel; played at multiple film festivals; and gained rave reviews in the press. His filmography includes My Mother’s Lost Children, an epic family saga told across six decades and five continents in various countries—including the UK, America, Iran, and Israel—and made in 2017 for BBC, ABC, and the YES channel in Israel. It was reviewed as “Critics Choice” by the Times of London. His film Shalom Bollywood: The Untold Story of Indian Cinema had its world premiere at the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival in 2017 where itw as reviewed by the Hollywood Reporter as “Lively, upbeat and entertaining”, and it went on to screen at dozens of film festivals globally, played on TV networks such as YES in Israel, and won Best Documentary at the Indian Film Festival of Houston. Danny won Australia’s top documentary prize, the Walkley Award, for his 2014 ABC film Code of Silence, which had a special screening in the Knesset. His Buchenwald Ball documentary screened on Israeli TV for many years on Holocaust Remembrance Day. Danny’s films have had major impact screenings, such as the screening of his film China's Artful Dissident (2019) at the Tate Modern in London. Danny recently completed production on a series of virtual reality films with Holocaust survivors and his first podcast series, My Lost Family, for Audible. His forthcoming documentary ‘Revenge: My Dad the Nazi Killer?’ is a BBC-ABC coproduction is a murder mystery about an alleged revenge killing of Nazi by a Holocaust survivor in Australia in the 1950s.
