BRIDGE TOURNAMENT

Born in 1956, Dominique joined the military in 1975 as a communication officer and worked in both Canada, mainly, and in the US (Colorado Springs & Boston). He also spent some time in Bosnia and in Alert. After 32 ½ years, he retired from the Canadian Forces. Upon retirement and opting not to work, he and his wife, Wendy, decided to spend their winter in Texas and has been going every year except for this past winter due to COVID-19. While in the military, he developed an interest in Bridge and, upon retirement, decided to put more efforts in playing in the Ottawa Area but also in the Rio Grande Valley during the winter, playing mostly at the club level but also at sectionals, regionals, and nationals. In 2008, he became a club director. From 2008 to 2017, he helped with the Ottawa Sectionals and was also the Ottawa Regional Tournament Chair from 2010 to 2016. In 2017, he applied to be a Tournament Director with ACBL and, after passing the exam, became an ACBL employee. As such, he has trained at few tournaments, including Nationals, in the US and has worked numerous tournaments in Canada, including the last two ‘’face to face’’ Montreal Regionals. Since the Pandemic, he has helped trained many of the Quebec directors hosting games on BBO. His other interests include Golf, Fishing, Photography and Model Railroading.
