SHEEMA KHAN
Sheema Khan grew up in NDG, attended McGill, and then later Harvard (for a Masters in Physics and a PhD in Chemical Physics) and MIT. She returned to Montreal to work as an R&D scientist in the pharmaceutical industry, and switched to patent law after moving to Ottawa in 1998, where she now lives with her husband and 3 kids. She is also a monthly contributor to the Globe and Mail (since 2002). A number of her columns have been published in the book "Of Hockey and Hijab: Reflections of a Canadian Muslim Woman". She has served on the Board of the United Nations Association in Canada, the Canadian Civil Liberties Association, to name a few. She is currently on the Board of the Harvard Club of Ottawa.
