RAPHAËLLE PAQUETTE
With a solid background in classical singing, piano, acting and ballet, this versatile artist has won numerous awards such as the Francophone Music Contest of Canada, the Young Lyric Ambassadors Contest and first prize in the 2011 Altamuro/Caruso International Singing Contest. She also won scholarships from the Jacqueline Desmarais Foundation and the Music and Youth Canada Foundation. Raphaëlle has developed a refined mastery of performances of classical lyric heroines including Gilda in Rigoletto, Frasquita in Carmen, Violetta in La Traviata, Rosina in the Barber of Seville and Musetta in La Bohème. From 2004 to 2016 she was the embodiment of the character Cristal in the operatic version of Luc Plamondon’s rock opera, Starmania Opera, which was presented at the Montreal Opera, the Quebec City Opera, the Quebec Summer Music Festival, the Quebec Opera Festival as well as touring in Asia and France. Raphaëlle is a regular guest artist with symphony orchestras across Canada, has performed for the opening of C2 Montreal with the Cirque du Soleil, appeared in the production of Rock to Opera at the Montreal Casino and travelled twice to Tunisia for Nefta’s International Festival of Sacred Music along with the Quebec designer Yves-Jean Lacasse for a showing of his ENVERS fashion collection. Raphaëlle never fails to charm every audience.
FRANCIS TÉTU
Professional guitarist, arranger, musical director and composer, Francis moves with ease from guitar to mandolin to banjo. He performed as an opening act to many artists at Montreal’s Cabaret du Casino including Paul Anka and Alain Choquette. Since 2005 he has toured Quebec and the Maritimes with numerous artists such as Edith Butler, Jean-Marc Parent, Nathalie Simard, Guylaine Tanguay and Martine St-Clair. Francis has regularly performed at Montreal’s International Jazz Festival since 2007. In recent years he has appeared in different Quebec musical reviews such as Crocodile Rock and Paris N-Y. In 2015 Francis produced his first collaborative album 2Francis and in 2019 he recorded his first solo album Versatilité which received rave reviews.
