New Mexico: Tracing Georgia O’Keeffe’s Footsteps

Beginning in 2017, Lydia Bauman followed O’Keeffe’s footsteps across the wilderness of New Mexico, re-interpreting on canvas the powerful, mystical landscape that so captivated the iconic artist for nearly 60 years, making her the most celebrated American female artist of all times. Who better than Lydia to share the account of her journey and insights into O’Keeffe’s life, work and painting methods, teaching us that every version of the same subject is valid, only serving to enrich the viewer’s appreciation of it.
