Life expectancy is rising in Canada and by 2021 the number of seniors will increase by over 22%. We must be able to meet the need that will accompany such growth.

The Cummings Centre is responding to this growth by touching the lives of over 10,000 older adults annually, with services and programs for both the frail and healthy senior.

We are faced with enormous challenges:

  • 21% of Jewish seniors in Montreal live below the poverty line.
  • 1 in 4 seniors lives with a mental illness.
  • The number of seniors in crisis is increasing at an alarming rate.

Enriching the lives of our seniors and protecting our most vulnerable can only happen through continued support from our Foundation.

Without sustainable funding, these programs and services would be in jeopardy.
