The Greatness of Wellness

Written by Suzanne Reisler Litwin and Marla Goodwin

You really should come to The Wellness Weekend in 2026.  I can’t say enough about how great it is. Firstly, when I got there on September 12, 2025 I felt depleted in so many ways.  I thought I was going to have a soothing, relaxing summer.  That didn’t happen at all. I kept on waiting for my summer to begin.  The weather was amazing, but I was overwhelmed with responsibilities, tasks, and always on alert for problems.

The weeks would start with a somewhat cleared schedule and by Tuesday or Wednesday it was filled with stuff to do.

STUFF TO DO! LOTS OF STUFF TO DO!

I waited for all the stuff to be done and it never happened.  I threw in the towel after Labour Day weekend, when I realized summer was over and I moved my focus towards The Wellness Weekend. Thank goodness for this weekend as it was my salvation.

I couldn’t wait to get there. Three more sleeps.  Two more sleeps. One more sleep. All packed up and driving north to Camp B’nai Brith, CBB to bunk down with 95 other wellnessers.

Here is the online description of The Wellness Weekend:

“Camp and Wellness all rolled up into one weekend. The Wellness Weekend is a co-ed all-inclusive weekend bringing you the opportunity to immerse yourself in all types and levels of fitness, wellness workshops and fun camp activities. Disconnect & reconnect. Experience a getaway that makes you feel healthier, happier and full of life in 48 hours. Join us and connect with nature, wellness, learning, friends and fun.”

What the description doesn’t tell you is the weekend is empowering, reflective, joyful, spiritual, restful – if you want rest, expressive and filled with passion for life. It is also a wonderful way to make new friends, find new interests and reconnect with nature.  And… I needed all of this, STAT!
