Our Partners: Building a Stronger Community Together
Our partnerships extend beyond traditional boundaries, creating a robust network of support that enhances the quality of life for Montreal’s older adults. Through strategic alliances with healthcare providers, we ensure access to vital wellness programs and preventive care. Our educational partnerships bring diverse learning opportunities to our members, while collaborations with cultural organizations enrich our programming with arts, music, and heritage activities.

Federation CJA provides funding to deliver services to Montreal’s vulnerable Jewish senior community.
The 100 for 100 funding from Federation CJA enabled Cummings Centre to augment the financial assistance provided to Holocaust Survivors in Montreal to cover more specific needs.

The Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany allocates funding to provide homecare and financial assistance for Survivors in Montreal and other provinces across Canada.

Centraide of Greater Montreal provides funding to manage volunteer resources and to support the program of social action, education and advocacy for seniors.

The Cummings Jewish Centre for Seniors Foundation supports the Cummings Centre by funding essential programs and services that safeguard seniors in the community, ensuring every senior is remembered and cared for.
Our Funders & Supporters: The Impact of Support
The generosity of our funders and supporters makes our work possible. Their commitment to the well-being of seniors enables us to:
- Maintain and expand our innovative programs that promote active aging and lifelong learning.
- Provide essential support services that help seniors maintain their independence and dignity.

The Community Health and Social Services provided funding to support free programs for English-speaking communities in Quebec to reduce health inequities and enhance community vitality.

With funding from the Azrieli Foundation, the Cummings Centre has been able to support the needs of Montreal Holocaust Survivors by augmenting the financial assistance provided to cover more specific needs.

Canadian Heritage Community Cultural Action Fund –Funding for the development of Official Language Communications, Strengthening Community Ties for English Seniors through Art, Culture and History.

Funding for Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) provides financial assistance to support employers to create quality summer work experiences for youth aged 15 to 30 years.

Mazon Canada provided a grant to support Kosher Frozen Meals-on-Wheels for Montreal’s vulnerable seniors.

The Jewish Community Foundation Nova Grant provided funding for an intergenerational program with high school students from Herzliah and active volunteers in our wood shop entitled Crafting Legacies: Bridging Generations through the Art of Woodworking.

Secrétariat aux relations avec les Québécois d’expression anglaise (SRQEA) provided funding for the development of a film and educational workshops/tools to Combat Ageism.

Programme Québec ami des aînés provided funding for Recreation Toolkits for Dementia Care Providers: Making meaningful connections.

Centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux (CIUSSS) du Centre-Sud-de-l’Ile-de-Montréal provided funding for :
– Programme de soutien aux organismes communautaires (PSOC) -Continues to support the Cummings Centre’s global mission
– Programme de soutien aux organismes communautaires (PSOC)
-Contribution towards Meals-On-Wheels

Centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux (CIUSSS) du Centre-Sud-de-l’Île-de-Montréal provided funding for: Programme de soutien aux organismes communautaires (PSOC) As part of the government’s action plan for family caregivers 2021-2026, a generous grant was received that enabled family caregivers to acquire knowledge, resources and new skills.

Canada Community Security Program (CCSP) provided funding to secure our senior community against antisemitism and hate.

Community Service Recovery fund- Covid-19 Recovery Grant Program provided funding for Technological upgrades for the Website and Virtual Learning Library.

As part of Centraide’s mission, DATAide provided funding to help Cummings Centre enhance the Virtual Learning library and assist with digital transformation.

The Pride and Remembrance Foundation provided funding for “Fit, Fun & Fabulous” – a two-part offering to support the Cummings Centre initiative for 2SLGBTQ+ Inclusion, Allyship, and Advocacy. The programs will focus on fitness and creative expression in collaboration with other community organizations, spaces and groups.
