Our learned guide, Jacob, will lead us from the flourishing presence of Jews in the Baltic states before the Holocaust, through to its tragic aftermath. We will explore Jewish life from Estonia’s capital city, Tallinn, to the former Klooga concentration camp; from the streets of the former ghetto in Riga, Latvia, to the nearby memorial of the Rumbula Forest 2-day massacre. With virtual stops in Vilnius, Lithuania and at various other Jewish Heritage sites, we are invited to remember the lost lives of the tens of thousands of Jews who once lived and thrived there

Jacob Shoshan, né à Jérusalem, guide touristique, enseignant et conférencier israélien agréé, partagera avec nous ses connaissances approfondies de l'histoire, de la philosophie et de la culture juives. Parlant couramment 15 langues, Jacob a dirigé des visites dans 65 pays sur les 6 continents. Il est directeur d'excursion principal et conférencier pour la Société géographique d'Israël et est particulièrement engagé dans l'éducation à l'Holocauste, une passion dont nous bénéficierons sous sa direction.
