CUBA: THE JEWBAN AND THE 1955 CHEVY BEL AIR

Step back to 1959 as we explore the vintage cars of Cuba and sample some of the island’s globally influential rhythms, rooted in West African and Spanish music. We shall meet some of the local Jewbans, whose joie de vivre keeps Judaism alive and thriving under a communist regime. With visits to Havana, Trinidad, and Cienfuegos, we will learn how Judaism, already 500 years in Cuba, is strangely absent of antisemitism under this communist regime.
