This past year has highlighted that the ever-evolving needs of Seniors of all ages are multifaceted and deeply rooted in the pursuit of overall well being. Our mission at the Cummings Centre remains steadfast to respect and support every individual that we serve. Isolation, boredom, loneliness, and the lack of adequate physical and mental stimulation increases vulnerability and results in diminished quality of life.

The Cumming’s commitment is centered on encouraging and reinforcing Seniors in creating and maintaining optimal physical, mental, and cognitive health while emphasizing the value in social participation. This necessitates promoting self expression and lifelong learning and cultivating a sense of safety, inclusion, independence, autonomy, and social support. Providing the opportunity for members, clients, and volunteers to establish relationships, feel meaningfully engaged and connected to community is also paramount in our functioning. We celebrate the fact that we maintain both in-person and virtual options for growth.

Engaging Seniors in Volunteerism, multi faceted programs, and varying recreational activities as well as providing extensive social service support enables our Centre to foster a sense of belonging for all.

We are proud of the achievements reviewed in this years Annual Report. At the heart of our commitment, we strive to empower our Senior community to feel seen, heard and valued!

We thank each and everyone one of you whose invaluable contributions make the Cummings Centre the life force that it is!
