THIS YEAR’S ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING – JUNE 20, 2024

This year’s Annual General Meeting of the Cummings Jewish Centre for Seniors will take place on Thursday, June 20, 2024  for the purpose of receiving reports, reviewing by-laws, appointing the new slate of the Board of Directors and appointing the auditors.

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT AND THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

We are grateful to have this opportunity to reflect on the past year and share our highlights with our Cummings Centre community.

We have successfully worked through several seasons of Covid isolation. In April 2022, we were pleased to announce the reopening of the building. We welcomed everyone to be a part of our community, whether they participated online or face-to-face. We embraced the challenges and reopened for Social Services, Volunteer Opportunities, General Programming, the Wellness Centre, Adapted Services, and Special Events. We have maintained a hybrid approach (online & in person) to meet the varied needs and preferences of our seniors.

We developed C2U – Cummings to YOU programming, an innovative approach to share our resources by bringing in-person and virtual live programs to diverse organizations meeting their unique programming needs.

The Board approved a new Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Policy Statement, and its implementation is now underway and will be integrated into all aspects of the Centre’s strategic vision.

We thank you all for helping us make Cummings Centre a warm, welcome, inclusive, and safe space for our senior community.
