For High School students interested in fulfilling their community service hours and interacting with seniors in a warm atmosphere, the Cummings Centre is an ideal place to volunteer.
The Cummings Centre also offers a leadership training program (LEDA – Leadership, Education, Development, Action) for secondary V students from Herzliah and Bialik High Schools.
An application and interview process is required.
The goal of LEDA is to enable students to take a leadership role while:
- Participating in the Centre’s programs and services to the 50+ community
- Learning the facts about a non-profit agency
- Meeting seniors and understanding their needs
- Benefiting from hands-on experience
