The Community Assistance Program (CAP) is available to the Jewish senior population over the age of 65, as well as clients of the Community Mental Health Program at Cummings Centre, who are over the age of 55 and who are on a limited income and/or facing an emergency situation due to financial difficulties.

The CAP funds are allocated to financially vulnerable seniors to empower them and enable them to cope with unforeseen challenges of daily living, while preserving their dignity and respect. This program is used by professionals of the department, as a tool of intervention within the context of a more comprehensive psycho-social plan. The assistance is provided with compassion and confidentiality.
