Answering the needs of seniors in our community, whether by delivering meals-on-wheels, making care calls, or running virtual activities- volunteering is more vital than ever! We have dynamic and innovative volunteer opportunities for you to stay connected and involved.

The Cummings Garden Group

The leaves of crimson, gold and brown are tumbling down, but that doesn’t mean gardening is over for the year. And it doesn’t mean you can’t get started gardening. Why wait for spring? Why not join us for some winter gardening?

We are a group of volunteers who share a passion for gardening. We have come together to form a gardening group – Le Club du Jardin du Cummings. And we want you to get involved us.

It doesn’t matter whether or not you have an outdoor garden. We’ll show you how to get things going and growing inside, so you can keep gardening until spring lets you garden outdoors again.

Here’s a chance for you to meet people with similar interests and make new friends.

Gardening with us is a great way to spend the day doing something useful. Learn how to raise organic vegetables and herbs indoors or get the seedlings ready for the spring.

Gardening can keep you busy through the winter months and it’s a good hobby to stay active with all year long. We are available to garden with you by Zoom or phone or email.

Be part of our gardening group! There’s no need to be alone at home when you can connect with others!

And we’ll help you learn how to get things growing with little or no cost.

To get you going and keep your garden growing, we will share with you Tips of the Month, show you how to get things done and supply how-to videos and workshops on various gardening topics throughout the year.
